Latest rise in mortgage rates in Wales

THE worrying thing about the latest rise in mortgage rates is that few expect it to be the last in the series of rises which began last August.
By early-2008, thousands of homebuyers could be paying eight per cent-plus on their mortgage.
The latest rise – Bank base rate up to 5.75 per cent – became virtually certain when Nationwide BS claimed that house prices were still rising, by 1.1 per cent, during June. (for more information click here)
